How IPOBee collects, uses, and protects your personal information

1. Who We Are
IPOBee (accessible at ipobee.in) is a free IPO information platform run by Pramod Kumar, an individual investor based in India. We publish publicly available IPO data โ including GMP (Grey Market Premium), subscription ratios, and allotment timelines โ to help retail investors stay informed.

2. What Data We Collect
We collect the minimum data necessary. Here is exactly what we may collect and from whom:

We do not collect: PAN numbers, Aadhaar, bank account details, demat account numbers, passwords, or any financial information.
3. How We Collect It
- Subscribe form โ when you click "Subscribe for Alerts" and fill in your name, email, and optional mobile number.
- Contact email โ if you email us at contact@ipobee.in, we receive and store your email address and message.
- Automatic server logs โ every web server automatically records the IP address and browser type of visitors. This is standard and cannot be disabled.
We do not use any tracking pixels, Facebook pixels, Google tags, or advertising trackers on this website.
4. Why We Collect It (Purpose & Legal Basis)
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) 2023, we must state a clear purpose for collecting personal data. Our purposes are:

5. How Long We Keep It
- Subscriber data (name, email, mobile) โ kept for as long as you remain subscribed. Deleted within 30 days of an unsubscribe or deletion request.
- Email correspondence โ kept for up to 1 year, then deleted.
- Server logs (IP address) โ kept for up to 90 days for security monitoring, then automatically deleted.
6. Who We Share Your Data With
The only limited circumstances in which data may be disclosed:
- Legal requirement โ if a court order or government authority in India legally compels us to share data, we will do so and notify you where legally permitted.
- Email service provider โ if we use a third-party email tool (e.g., Mailchimp or similar) to send newsletters, your email will be stored on their platform. If and when we use such a tool, we will update this policy to name it.
Currently, IPO alerts are sent manually. No third-party email marketing tool is in use.
Broker Affiliate Links
This website contains referral links to Zerodha, Groww, Upstox, and Angel One. When you click these links and open an account, the broker may pay us a referral commission. We do not share your personal data with these brokers. The referral is tracked by a code in the URL, not by your personal information.
7. Cookies & Analytics
IPOBee uses minimal cookies:
- Language preference cookie โ stores your chosen language (EN/HI/GU/etc.) so you don't have to reselect it on every visit. This cookie contains no personal data and expires after 1 year.
- No advertising cookies โ we do not use Google AdSense, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising tracking.
- No analytics cookies โ we do not currently use Google Analytics or any third-party analytics service.
You can clear cookies at any time in your browser settings. Clearing the language cookie will reset your language preference to English.
8. How We Protect Your Data
- HTTPS encryption โ all data transmitted between your browser and our server is encrypted using TLS (HTTPS).
- Access control โ the admin panel where subscriber data is managed is password-protected with rate-limited login (maximum 5 attempts before temporary lockout).
- Security headers โ our server sends security headers (Content Security Policy, X-Frame-Options, X-Content-Type-Options) to protect against common web attacks.
- No unnecessary storage โ we collect only what is needed and delete it on schedule.
No system is 100% secure. If you believe there has been a data breach affecting you, please email contact@ipobee.in immediately.
9. Your Rights (Under DPDPA 2023)
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
Right to Access
Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to Correction
Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
Right to Erasure
Request deletion of your personal data. We will delete within 30 days.
Right to Withdraw Consent
Unsubscribe from alerts at any time โ simply email us or click unsubscribe in any alert email.
Right to Grievance
File a complaint with us. We will respond within 48 hours.
Right to Complain
Escalate to India's Data Protection Board if your complaint is not resolved by us.

10. Children's Privacy
IPOBee is intended for adults (18 years and older) as IPO investing requires a bank account and PAN card. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 years of age.
If you believe a minor has submitted their data through our subscribe form, please email contact@ipobee.in and we will delete it immediately.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time โ for example, if we add a new feature that collects data, or if Indian data protection law changes. When we update, we will:
- Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
- If the change is significant (e.g., we start using a third-party email tool), we will send a notification to all subscribers.
We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of IPOBee after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
